Description
IN BONDS OF COMRADESHIP, by ESU President Robert Furlan, documents the first one hundred years of the English-Speaking Union Victoria Branch from proud origins immediately following the Great War through to contemporary challenges. Using historical accounts, the book documents the purpose and ideals that animated the Branch. There are chapters dedicated to the Branch’s educational and cultural programs, its programs of hospitality towards visitors from America, the British Isles, Canada and New Zealand and its leaders and their achievements. Importantly, this centenary history honours the dedication, selflessness and initiative of all Branch members who have contributed to the spirit of comradeship between English-speaking peoples.
